East and Gulf Coast Workers Strike Statement: NAIOP New Jersey

What:  Please consider the following statement – attributable to Dan Kennedy, CEO, NAIOP New Jersey – for inclusion in your coverage of the port workers strike.

“It is vital that the East and Gulf Coast port workers strike situation resolves quickly. A fully functioning Port of New York and New Jersey is critically important to our state economy and the national supply chain. A prolonged work stoppage will have an overwhelmingly negative ripple effect on jobs and New Jersey’s logistics industry as a whole.”

Why:  The Port of New York and New Jersey, industrial market fundamentals, logistics and supply chain matters are central concerns for New Jersey’s commercial real estate community. As the state’s leading development industry trade association, NAIOP New Jersey is deeply in tune and engaged with this topic.
